Oops,

I have now found and read some more documentation.

a) Sorry I did not cc Guido (maybe he won't notice my message that shows
I had not read all the docs:-)

b) I have now found and read extend.txt and so have seen that I did
understand what is happening correctly and that it is planned to change
in the future.
