A Destiny To Create
A Destiny To Create is a book of memoirs[2] written by Imayan activist Vincent Cetewayo around the time when he was founding his NGO Worldwatch Incorporated. The book highlighted the plight of his country, Imaya, which had been under the dictatorship of General Edu Arul[1][2] for the past fifteen years.[3] In its pages, Cetewayo outlined his hopes for global peace while also presenting the atrocities Arul had committed.[1][2] Cetewayo gave a copy of the book to James Rhodes (secretly the super hero War Machine), whom he had invited to dinner in an attempt to convince him to head Worldwatch.[1]
Arul was enraged upon reading the book,[1][2] and after a public speech in which he vowed to execute Cetewayo for what Arul called seditious lies,[1] Arul had Cetewayo kidnapped while in a mid-fight over Africa, forcing the plane to land in Imaya.[1][2] War Machine traveled to Imaya to attempt to rescue Cetewayo, but in the process his armor was damaged and he lost his mapping systems. Fortunately, he remembered quite a bit of Imaya's geography from Cetewayo's descriptions in his book.[1]
- Per Marvel Atlas #2, the title is written with each word starting with a capital letter ("A Destiny To Create"), something that cannot be deduced from the all-caps fonts in War Machine.
