Andarithio "Andy" Billups was a 24th century Human man, an officer of the Federation Starfleet in the 2380s decade. (LD episode: "Second Contact")
Biography[]
Billups once said the happiest time of his life was as a young kid. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive event: "Little Rascals")
Andy Billups was assigned to the Federation starship USS Cerritos as a lieutenant commander by the year 2380. He served as the chief engineer.
During a viral outbreak stardate 57436.2, Billups' engineers Ensigns Barnes and Sam Rutherford assisted Lieutenant Shaxs and the senior staff in retaking the ship. (LD episode: "Second Contact")
Billups was a prince in the royal hierarchy of his homeworld, Hysperia. Under Hysperian law, if a prince loses his virginity, he automatically becomes king; thus, Billups' mother, Queen Paolana, was always trying to pressure him into having sex (even though he loved his career in Starfleet and had no intention of leaving it), even faking her own death in the process. Eventually, Paolana grudgingly accepted her son's wishes and allowed him to remain in Starfleet. (LD episode: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")
In 2381, Billups was among the Cerritos crew who got trapped by the malevolent artificial intelligence Badgey on the holodeck. During the lower deckers' effort to earn enough merit points for Badgey to release them, Billups oversaw a simulation of the warp core. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive)
Billups thought of a way to escape Badgey. He believed the deactivated safety protocols would allow him to place the ship's simulated warp core into "safety mode", forcing the holodeck to reboot. He calculated a low probability that the process could create a warp bubble. Unfortunately, it did, trapping Sam Rutherford in a pocket universe. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Remember Rutherford")
While trapped, D'Vana Tendi dreamed that ship's personnel caught a libido-freeing virus. Most of the crew began acting on their impulses, but Billups proudly resisted temptation. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "The Naked Later")
When Badgey's temporal rift went awry and inadvertently crossed dimensions, it dragged the TARDIS to the Cerritos holodeck. Billups showed The Doctor how to use a replicator and helped fashion spare parts for the damaged TARDIS. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive event: "Who Can It Be Now?")
