In the year 2410, the Iconian Empire engaged in open warfare with the Khitomer Alliance of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Herald-operated Iconian starships included Baltim-class raiders. Ships of the class participated in the destruction of Starbase 234 and the attack on New Romulus. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "Blood of Ancients")
Ships of this class participated in the Iconian attack on Qo'noS. The raiders emerged from Iconian gateways and tried to keep Allied troop transports from reaching the Klingon homeworld. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Gateway to Gre'thor")
