CDS Soukara

For other uses, see Soukara.

The CDS Soukara was a 24th century Cardassian starship, a Galor-class warship in the Union's Central Command Guard service in the 2370s decade. (ST video game: Armada)

Service history[]

The Soukara had entered service by around stardate 53550.8[4] in 2376, following the end of the Dominion War. In that year, this vessel and its sister ships operated in the galaxy's Alpha and Beta Quadrants. (ST video game: Armada)

At one point, the Soukara and its sister ships operated from a Cardassian base in the Devron star system along the border between the Union and the Romulan Star Empire. The Ferengi Latinum Consortium brought an Omega molecule to the system and intended to trade with the Cardassians. The Tal Shiar, the Romulans' secret police, learned of this development and called Admiral Sela to Dderas Station. Tal Shiar agent Jal Par discussed with Sela that neither the Ferengi Alliance nor the Cardassians had recognized Omega's true value and that seizing it could shift the balance of power in favor of the Romulan Star Empire. Soon after Sela's arrival at the Romulan starbase, the Ferengi and the Cardassians dispatched their ships in the system to attack them, including the CDS[5] Soukara. (ST video game: Armada mission: "A Call to Power")

In 2377, the Galor-class battleship Soukara was one of many Cardassian ships taking part in Gul Kentar's Uprising against the post-war occupation of the Cardassian Union by the Imperial Klingon Force and participated in numerous skirmishes and battles until Chancellor Martok defeated Kentar in the Hurik system. (ST video game: Armada II)

Background[]

  • No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel as its name was selected for a battleship by the Armada game developers, and is sometimes placed randomly when the ship appears.
  • All Galor-class ships in the first Armada game appear visually like Keldon-class starships.
