The ChR/IRW Harrier was a 23rd century Imperial Romulan starship, a Morlasasi Stelam-/Z1- class battleship in Romulan Star Navy service in the 2280s decade. Its commanding officer was Commander Lazar. (TOS - Star Trek (DC volume 1) comic: "Idol Threats")
Service history[]
In the year 2286, the Harrier was sent to a planet in Sector 9. There it ambushed the USS Cluster. After its commanding officer Lazar, had killed the Cluster's captain and landing party, it moved in to attack when the Cluster lowered its deflector shields. It inflicted heavy damage on the Cluster, destroying its C deck. However, the Cluster retaliated hard, but the Harrier held. However, the Harrier was forced to retreat when the USS Enterprise-A intervened in its fight with the Cluster. (TOS - Star Trek (DC volume 1) comic: "Idol Threats")
In 2292, the imperial warbird Harrier was under the command of Commander Plavius. It was one of three starships selected to participate in a conclave with the ancient but reclusive Osori civilization. As part of the Osori diplomatic initiative, the Romulans' Harrier, Klingon Empire's IKS Lukara and Federation Starfleet's Enterprise-A were each to ferry one Osori representative and two hostages from the other ships from Osor Prime to Nimbus III. The mission failed due to interference from a 20th century Human Augment who had infiltrated the Lukara under the alias of Doctor Kesh. Outside of earshot of his more zealous officers, Commander Plavius opined his favorable view of a potential unification between the Romulans and Vulcans to Captain Spock of the Enterprise.
