Hugh Everett III (1930-1982) was a noted physicist and mathematician.

Biography[]

Everett pioneered the alternate reality idea in quantum mechanics that a parallel universe exists for each choice not made by a sentient being in the prime reality. (Star Trek Adventures RPG module: The Sciences Division, STO novel: The Needs of the Many)

These concepts were codified in the Everett-Wheeler equations. (TOS - The Janus Gate novel: Future Imperfect)

Everett attended Princeton University and developed these equations with John Wheeler.
