The L.S.S. Chomsky was an Ambassador-class heavy cruiser that was in service to the Grand Eternal Matrix of Lore within a divergent timeline where it dominated the Milky Way Galaxy, enforcing the grip of the android Lore. Although the vessel shared the same overall design as its counterparts from the prime universe, like other starships belonging to the native version of Starfleet — one that represented the militaristic arm of the Grand Eternal Matrix — she had a distinctive cyan colouration and fins lining the saucer section, warp nacelles and secondary hull.

Service history and disposition[]

After the renegade android Lore led the remnants of the Red Path cult to detonate the Bajoran Orb of Destruction within Pleroma, causing the fabric of realities to untwine and resulting in the birth of a new universe that existed beneath the rule of the individual that had triggered this change. Within this divergent timeline, the L.S.S. Chomsky was brought into the service of the Grand Eternal Matrix of Lore — a totalitarian galactic power that dominated the four quadrants in the name of Lore — as one of its spacefaring forces. In the year 2378, the L.S.S. Chomsky was one of the attack flotilla that Starfleet assembled to investigate reports from the L.S.S. Enterprise, where Supreme Pah-Wraith Shaxs Drazon had been said to have gone rogue. Arriving to the location at an intercept course, she and the other five vessels that had been dispatched for the same purpose were intended to Shaxs, but used their prefix codes to override the shield and warp capabilities of their target, which the Chomsky provided to assault, firing on her saucer module. In answer, however, the Enterprise retaliated with a rain of fire that destroyed the Ambassador-class and three of her fellows in quick succession. (LDs comic: "Shaxs' Worst Day")
