Doctor Crusher abandoned her close friends for reasons unknown around 2381.
In the 2400s, Crusher and her son Jack Crusher operated the Eleos XII. In the year 2401, they were menaced by assailants. The Crushers managed to evade them at Sarnia, Kaphar and Exo-Port. A trio of Qulash-class frigates caught up with the Eleos XII in the Ryton star system, where one of the vessels docked with the Eleos on its dorsal hull. Doctor Crusher secured her son Jack but was injured during the fight with a boarding party. She sent an encrypted distress call to retired Admiral Jean-Luc Picard on Earth. The Eleos XII had the civilian Federation registry number prefix NAR. (PIC episode: "Disengage")
The Eleos escaped the frigates and hid in a nebula, where it was found by Admiral Picard and Captain William T. Riker. They took the shuttlecraft Saavik from the USS Titan-A to investigate the seemingly derelict vessel. Aboard ship, Picard and Riker met Beverly's son Jack. Soon after, a large menacing vessel arrived.
