The SS Hatteras was a spacecraft, a DY-245 series ship of the Human civilization launched from the planet Earth in the Sol star system in the later 22nd century, towards the end of the 2180s decade.

Hatteras was launched around the year 2187, under the command of Captain Gary Loes, on a mission of deep space exploration. (TNG episode: "Up the Long Ladder")
