The VK Velikan was a spacecraft, a DY-1200 series ship of the Human civilization launched from the planet Earth in the Sol star system in the later 22nd century, around the early 2160s decade.
Service history and disposition[]
Velikan was launched around the year 2160, under the command of Captain Mike Volland, on a mission of stellar chart mapping. Some data was recorded giving a Captain Gene Roddenberry command of the vessel on that launch. (TNG episode: "Up the Long Ladder")
