SCENE 1Big Bird realizes that it's almost time for him to meet up at the bus station with his cousin Abelardo, who's coming from Mexico. In his rush he realizes that he doesn't have time to return the lunchbox he borrowed from Luis. He doesn't have his own phone, so he asks to use Susan's, but she's currently using hers. He then stops by Oscar's trash can (briefly noting how the incoming winter weather has affected the trees), but Oscar refuses to let him use his phone. He remembers that there's a payphone at Hooper's Store, but Gordon is waiting for an important call from it. He then runs over to the Fix-it Shop to call Luis, but Luis is already at the counter. Despite being right in front of him, Big Bird quickly gives Luis a call, then rushes out with the lunchbox.
