Gordon and Maria are confused as Big Bird refers to them as little, until Big Bird invites two giants (portrayed by Susan and David) to join them.

	SCENE 4	Oscar does a favor for Maria by holding down a ribbon she’s trying to tie onto a present. She returns the favor by agreeing to mail some letters for him, but Oscar isn't done with his requests. He asks her to send a wastebasket of junk downtown to his cousin Melvin, do some grocery shopping, and cash his check over at the Grouch Trust Bank. When he reminds her of the favor he did for her, she gives him his stuff back and makes their deal even by unraveling the ribbon he helped tie (though she still sends his mail off to be nice).

Gordon asks Big Bird how many sheets he needs, then shows him how to add himself and Earl by writing the equation down on his pad of paper. Constance joins Earl, as does Veronica; Gordon shows how to add each of them to the group as well until he runs out of paper.
