Description
SCENE 1
While happily walking down Sesame Street, Big Bird overhears his friends’ conversations. Bob and Susan talk about someone who’s “tall and cute, but awkward” and “bumps into everything.” In the Fix-it Shop, Luis complains about all the feathers on the floor. In Hooper's Store, Maria talks on the phone about getting rid of a nest; she’s sure no one’s gonna need it. Big Bird assumes he is no longer wanted around, and goes home to pack.

SCENE 1 cont'd
The adults encounter Big Bird as he runs away, dragging his nest and the rest of his belongings. He repeats to them what he heard them saying, and they all correct him: Susan and Bob were talking about Gordon, whom Susan says can’t dance; Luis was complaining about the feathers that fell out of a pillow he was trying to fix; and Maria was talking about an abandoned bird’s nest in the awning above Hooper’s. Big Bird is relieved, and Bob and Susan help move his things back home.
