Picture Segment Description

COLD OPEN Ruthie and Telly introduce today's sponsors and Ruthie adds they'll be visiting the worm circus that's in town in the park today. She points toward a small worm-driven airplane with a circus banner attached, leading their eyes to the small but action-filled tent behind the park wall.

SCENE 1 Oscar, Slimey, and Lexine have joined the others as they crouch down to watch the circus from the tent openings. An announcer (Jim Martin) welcomes the crowd to the Wriggling Bros. Circus "Little Big Top" and introduces the first act - Eeli Kneivel, who will fire himself from a cannon and land on someone's head. Oscar volunteers Telly, who's too scared to watch. The crowd counts backwards from 10 to 0 and Eeli is launched from his cannon through the tent's roof and lands right on Telly! The crowd goes wild, but Oscar isn't impressed; he thinks Slimey could do better.

Oscar still thinks Slimey could do better, while Ruthie and Lexine reassure Telly that it's okay to be afraid and encourage him to try watching the next act.

SCENE 4 Telly vows to watch the next act, though Oscar is unimpressed with the entire circus so far, not finding any act scary or interesting. Next up is the bravest worm in the universe - Siegfried Roy, who tames wild fish. In the tank, he gets the three piranha-esque Muppet fish to sit down and beg before putting his head into each of their mouths. Telly actually manages to witness the act and loves it! Oscar heckles it, so the announcer decides it's time for him to put his worm where his mouth is; if Slimey's so good, he'll be performing next! Oscar is afraid Slimey might get hurt and moans, "Me and my big mouth..."

SCENE 5 Slimey's ready to perform, his act consisting of combined elements from all the previous acts. Oscar's too afraid, but Telly encourages him to face his fear like he did. As they watch in awe, Slimey shoots himself from the cannon onto the trapeze, where he spins 11 times before crossing the tightrope (without the parasol) before landing in the fish tank and rides all three wild fish. Oscar and the crowd go wild as the announcer reiterates today's amazing sponsors.
