She then meets Jack, who arrives on the bus and explains for Linda that she and him were best friends in college and have a lot of catching up to do. Rosita decides to find a best friend of her own today.

	SCENE 2	Rosita sees Herry Monster mulling around in front of the Fix-It Shop. He agrees to help her look for a best friend (after all, he found his yo-yo string once) and races her to the yard to start their search. Big Bird and Snuffy are the only ones around continuing their game of tag, so the monsters think that'll be a good way to spend the time while looking for a best friend for Rosita.

	SCENE 3	Rosita and Herry stop by Hooper's Store, where Linda and Jack are also spending some time. Alan serves the two college friends a malted milk, who share it in two glasses. The monsters do the same when they ask for a strawberry soda and Alan only has one can left. Herry has enjoyed his time with Rosita, and runs home to fetch his dolly. Rosita spots Big Bird and Snuffy taking a break from their game of tag, and decides to ask them about other things that best friends do.

Rosita notices that best friends can sometimes have arguments, which surprises Snuffy and Big Bird but they agree it happens. They resume their game of tag shortly afterward.

	SCENE 5	Rosita notices Jack talking with Linda and Maria about something terrible that happened to Linda. Once the two friends leave, Maria shares that they were talking about the time that Linda broke her finger. Rosita wonders why Jack would feel bad, and Maria explains that friends can sympathize when someone gets hurt, even when it only happens to one of them. Herry returns with his doll but trips and falls; Rosita checks with him and the two make sure they're both okay before playing again. "There go two very good friends," Maria tells the viewer.

	SCENE 6	Herry and Rosita watch as Jack says goodbye to Linda, giving her a big hug before getting on the bus. The monsters decide to hug before Herry has to go home for dinner, but Rosita suddenly has an epiphany and calls for Maria. She goes over what she's learned, and Rosita and Herry come to the conclusion that they are best friends and sing a song about it.
