Rodeo Rosie is a cowgirl who first appeared on Sesame Street in Season 6. She's very loud and brags about herself a lot. She has a tendency to lasso other characters, mistaking them for wrongdoers, and she has a horse named Lance.
She never took off as a major character, but has made many appearances in Sesame Street books. In one such book, Show and Tell, she tells the class she got her lariat by way of her cousin Duane from Oklahoma.
Fran Brill provided the voice for the character as animated in the 1985 VHS release Three Sesame Street Stories adapting her brief appearance from the 1983 book Everyone Makes Mistakes.
