The Fazoobs are four musical aliens from the Planet Koozebane who auditioned for a spot on The Muppet Show in episode 208 (performing a piece composed by Jim Henson[1]).

The puppets used for the Fazoobs appeared in the background in a few first season episodes, including "Make a Song" with Avery Schreiber in episode 116, Ben Vereen's number, "Pure Imagination," in episode 117, and a few Fazoobs can briefly be seen cackling in the audience among the Muppet monsters in episode 119.

Cute (the trumpet fazoob) and Cannon[2] perform "Isn't This a Lovely Day" in episode 504.

After The Muppet Show, some of the Fazoob puppets appeared in other Muppet productions:

  • The yellow-headed Fazoob with a red body (seen at the left of the picture) appeared in the wedding finale of The Muppets Take Manhattan and as a control room crew member on Muppets Tonight.
  • Cute appeared in the wedding finale of The Muppets Take Manhattan, an episode of Mopatop's Shop and the opening theme for The Ghost of Faffner Hall.
