Gio - Open Collective
About
Gio is a cross-platform immediate mode GUI development framework for Go, and building it is complex. We support Android/iOS/Windows/macOS/Linux/FreeBSD/OpenBSD/tvOS/WASM(experimental) and more. Keeping support for so many platforms while also delivering excellent features is a lot of work, and will require a handful of people working full time to be sustainable in the long term.
Your contribution helps us ensure that Gio is sustainable, and also enables our platform to mature faster. Specifically, money contributed here helps Elias and Chris spend more hours of their work weeks directly on Gio upstream issues.
Our fiscal host, the OSC has asked for all collectives to make the following clear about contributions on OpenCollective:
This is a donation. No goods or services are expected in return. Any requests for refunds for those purposes will be rejected.
We will always use donated funds to support the project, but not at any fixed time interval. Donating support's Gio's development, but may not trigger an immediate change.
From time to time we might also run projects to support development of specific parts of Gio. Have a look.
