Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- statuses

The following is a list of status effects in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. Most are cast by enemies, or Zack can use them with certain materia and accessories. However, some of these statuses can also be acquired through the DMW when the left and right portraits match. Statuses can be ailments or beneficial. Ailments can typically be healed with Remedies and Esuna, whereas beneficial statuses are typically removed with Dispel.

The player can make materia with status effects via Materia Fusion, such as by fusing Jump with Death to make Death Jump, or Fire with Poison to make Dark Fire.

List of statuses[]

Death[]

Death is the basic defeat condition to which both Zack and enemies fall when in 0 health. Zack can still be revived from death with Raise, avoiding a game over. Instant death abilities are highly hazardous should they hit the player, since there is only one playable character, but handy in taking out small fry quickly when used by Zack, such as with Death Twister.

Blow Away[]

Distinct from instant death, enemies can also be outright removed from battle, though this status is not named in-game. Zack, meanwhile, cannot be "blown away" from battle.

It will not work on most bosses (exceptions being Behemoth, Cutter Machine, G Eraser, G Shadow Knight, G Shadow Mage, G Shadow Scythe, Ifrit, Pile Machine, Sephiroth, Shot Machine, Vajradhara Tai, and Vajradhara Wu) nor on the following normal enemies:
