Battle of Kesse

The Battle of Kesse was a fleet engagement during the Four Years War between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire in the 2250s decade near the Kesse system.

History and specifics[]

The Starfleet 84th Special Task Force, made up of Baton Rouge-class cruisers, had maneuvered behind enemy supply lines.

The Klingon force was a supply convoy made up of dozens of G8 Plen Zha-class cargo freighters. The IKS Klugh'tal, a new D10 Riskadh-class cruiser, and six D4E D'ama-class cruisers escorted the freighters. This convoy was traveling in Federation territory behind the main line of Klingon advance, en route to a forward supply base.

The 84th task force attacked the convoy on reference stardate 1/9610, managing to destroy four of the D4Es and a few dozen of the G8s. Klugh'tal was heavily damaged.

Aftermath[]

Survivors from Klugh'tal's command boom were rescued 16 months later by the USS Uthe on reference stardate 1/9802.
