The Bronta class explorer is a type of starship used by the Ferengi Alliance.

Typically, these ships served as scouts and sought new territory that would increase the Ferengi's chances of gaining profit. Despite this role though, these ships were actually very slow until a later type two model was developed which increased the craft's propulsion capabilities tremendously. They were armed in order to deal with enemy or pirate ships. Like many other Ferengi vessels, the Bronta favored powerful shields over a strong hull, making them far more easy to maintain.
