The Kulinor class was a 24th century Cardassian starship type, a cruiser and science vessel class in Cardassian Union service in the 2370s decade. The Kulinor was a equipped with four revolutionary systems that served as its special weapons. (ST video game: Armada II)
History and specifics[]

The "Quantum Singularity Ship".
Following the end of the Dominion War, Starfleet Intelligence became aware of rumors that the Cardassian Union was recalling preeminent scientists back home. In the mid-2370s, the Kulinor class was a recent addition to the Cardassians' fleet. Its standard weapons included phasers. It was protected by strong deflector shields. Like the older but similarly powerful Galor- and Keldon-class ships, the Kulinor was a cruiser-level ship produced at Cardassian advanced shipyards. In contrast to any Cardassian ship at that time, ships of the Kulinor class could be equipped with up to four special weapon technologies developed at the advanced research station. The physical arrangement of the Kulinor resembled the shape inspired by the galor emblem shared with the Galor- and Keldon-classes. In contrast to either class, the command section of the Kulinor was tapered at the front and the secondary hull carried a large, underslung cannon.
These various new technologies such as a plasma cannon that was capable of firing shells onto planetary habitats and killing millions. They were also equipped with a shield harmonics disruptor that was designed to reduce the strength of enemy shields. This may have been a development after seeing the Breen energy dampening weapons during the Dominion War. The ships impulse engines could be enhanced during brief periods of time allowing the vessel to reach destinations quicker or escape battle. The final piece of technology seen on these vessels was a quantum singularity generator that would open a quantum rift in space into another realm.
Unfortunately for many, this tear would open only into fluidic space, the home of Species 8472. Once a tear was open, it was common for a single Species 8472 frigate bioship to get dragged through it and be trapped within the Milky Way Galaxy where, due to the xenophobic aggressions of its pilot, the ship would attack any that approached it. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Tutorial: The Cardassians")
Ships of the class were involved with the Kentar Uprising, led by the Cardassian Gul Kentar. (ST video game: Armada II, Klingon campaign)
Kentar's rebellion commissioned the "Quantum Singularity Ship" prototype on stardate 54697.6 in the year 2377, and that it was capable of bringing powerful new technology from an unknown. Martok, Chancellor of the Klingon Empire, led thew Klingon Defense Forces occupying Cardassian Union space after the war. When Martok learned about the mysterious ship prototype, led a fleet to the Mislyv'ee-27 Mineral Research Center in the Alpha Quadrant to capture the Cardassian vessel for study. Starbase Misly'vee-27 was separated from Cardassian-controlled space in this area by an asteroid belt stacked with dangerous nebulae. The fleet led by the IKS Negh'Var captured the Quantum Singularity Ship. Its conventional weapons were nonfunctional and the Klingons could not operate its special weapons yet. Following its capture, the Cardassians somehow disabled the ship's engines, requiring Martok's people to employ a tractor beam to drag it from across the belt, through a wormhole into Sector 6 of the area, and further to the starbase. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "The Unknown Prize")
In the year 2379, this class was involved in holographic training simulation conducted by Lieutenant Commander Carey at Starfleet Academy. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Tutorial: The Cardassians")
With their ability to pull bioships from fluidic space, the deployment of the Kulinor class eventually triggered an invasion of the primary universe by Species 8472. Species 8472 ships attacked the Imperial Klingon forces that tracked Gul Kentar down in the Hurik star system on stardate 54766.1. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "The Final Battle")
At one point, a Kulinor burnt the surface of a class M planet to cinders with its plasma cannon. At another time, it summoned a species 8472 battleship battleship through a quantum rift. (ST video game: Armada II intro)
