The Space-Time Anomaly Detection Array or SADA station was a 24th century Federation sensor array space station in orbit of a star code-named Cassandra.
History and specifics[]
Built by the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations, SADA was a massive sensor platform with quantum resonance detectors to detect temporal sabotage, map temporal distortions, and locate the source of alterations in the time stream. SADA was the largest of DTI's scanning arrays.
SADA was many kilometers long. Interfaced with an associated tachyon detection grid, the array measured chronitons and related particles. Each millisecond, it compared measurements against the stable decay rate of delta rays emitted by the star it orbited and against temporally-isolated records of the quantum resonance signature of the universe. The USS Bougainville deployed the space station array in 2368. (Decipher RPG modules: Starfleet Operations Manual, Starships)
The Tal Shiar has since attempted to find SADA more than once. Due to its chroniton-detection capabilities, the Tal Shiar thought it tracked Romulan warbirds. (Last Unicorn RPG module: All Our Yesterdays: The Time Travel Sourcebook)
