BZ2 format does not support encryption (files of this type cannot be password protected).

Chaining Bzip2 compression after TAR archiving triggers solid compression: the entire input is treated as a whole in order to attain generally better compression performances that treating each input file separately.

Compress to BZ2 format

BZ2 compression accepts a single file as input, otherwise (to add multiple files and directories) use "TAR before" option to consolidate input in a single TAR package before proceeding with compression stage with BZip2 algorithm.

Use context menu entry PeaZip > Add to archive for archive creation screen, to set compression settings, output destination, and other options.
