The D'Kora-class marauder was a type of starship class that was used by the Ferengi Alliance in the 24th century. They were known to have a number of different configurations.
This class was also referred as the type-A Ferengi ship. (ST video game: Infinite)
Service history[]
Official first contact between the Ferengi Alliance and the United Federation of Planets occured after the Federation Starfleet starship USS Enterprise-D chased down a D'Kora-class marauder that had stolen a T-9 energy converter from an unmanned monitoring outpost on Gamma Tauri IV. (TNG episode: "The Last Outpost")
Several D'Kora class starships were deployed by Grand Nagus Zek during the blockade of the planet Bajor in the year 2372. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
Technical specifications[]
Ships of this class were known to possess a large crew capacity and were capable of mounting phasers, disruptors and strong torpedo based weapons. Some versions were known to use a disabling weapon that was similar to the one the Breen used. This energy dampening weapon was often used by Ferengi Liquidators and privateers. Class variations[]
Five basic livery designs were available to choose from for owners, which could be modified further. The options were were designated Type 1-4, and Upgrade. They were differentiated by different shading on hull and warp plasma. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock") In addition, the installation of shields from specific factions modified the hull appearance, including shields from the Reman Resistance, the Breen Confederacy and the Dominion. (STO - Romulan Mystery missions: "Coliseum", "Cold Storage", "Boldly They Rode")

Another class variant is a Cruiser. This version has the following specifications:

- Size: 392 meters, 22 decks
- Crew: 450
- Weapons: Type 10 Plasma Weapons, Photon Torpedos
- Propulsion: Warp 9.1; 2 Warp Nacelles
- Notes: The D'Kora-class "Maurauder" is a powerful ship, typically commanded by ambitious captains who seek success and profit not only through "legitimate" trade, but also through raiding and piracy.
The FMS Krayton is identified as a ship of this variant (Per the starter pack from the customizable disk game, Star Trek: Red Alert!).
