Enemies are one of the biggest obstacles met in games. In the Mother series, they attack the player characters, trying to make them lose all of their HP. In the first two games of the series, most attack Ninten, Ness, and their parties due to being influenced or led by Giygas. In Mother 3, they are largely wildlife, spirits, or creations/servants of the Pigmask Army. In order to make progress, Ninten, Lucas, Ness, and their respective parties must defeat them. Another form of enemy is a Boss.
