Buttonflies are insect-like enemies that appear in Kirby's Epic Yarn and its Nintendo 3DS port, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. They appear as a green button with black stripes, a pair of short wings and antennae.
Buttonflies fly in place in a circular motion. Unlike Buttonbees and Buttonbugs, they cannot damage Kirby, only being able to slightly bump him on contact.
They can be defeated using any of Kirby's attacks; the yarn whip or his transformations. Rolling one up yields a singular homing yarn ball, which will fly into an enemy it is thrown at.
