| “ | If you attack it enough to destroy it, you'll get the powerful item hidden inside. | ” | — Kirby Fighters 2 loading screen tip |
Ice Containers are large blocks of ice that appear as items in Kirby Fighters 2 which contain three other items inside. In order to get the items inside, the fighters must repeatedly attack the container until it shatters, throwing the contents out when it does.
Use[edit]
Ice Containers - being made of ice - are translucent, which allows the fighters to see which items are inside before it is broken. They can withstand substantial punishment, taking up to 120 points of damage to destroy (reduced damage is taken from items like Timed Dynamite explosions). As the Ice Container takes damage, it begins to crack before finally shattering, releasing the three items it contains.
The Ice Container can hold any other item except for the following:
- Buddy Star Blaster piece
- Container or another Ice Container
- Zap Weapon
Ice Containers do not appear in Single-Handed Mode.
In Story Mode: The Destined Rivals[edit]
| “ | The mysterious effect of this stage causes nothing but Ice Containers to appear! Get the powerful items inside them before your enemies do! | ” | — Pause text for the Ice Container Stage in Kirby Fighters 2 |
In Kirby Fighters 2's Story Mode: The Destined Rivals, one of the special conditions which can occur in regular stages is referred to as an "Ice Container Stage". In this scenario, only Ice Containers will appear as items during the fight, and they will appear in large numbers. Clearing an Ice Container stage nets the player an extra 100 points.
Additionally, there is a story item called the Ice Container Breaking Sticker, which allows Kirby and his buddy to break open Ice Containers three times faster than usual.
