Control probe

In an alternate reality where the Section 31 artificial intelligence Control merged with the Borg, the Control probe was a 25th century Borg starship type, a Borg probe ship class in Control Borg service in the 2410s decade. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Situation Under Control")

History and specifics[]

In this universe, the Control Borg were involved in a war of assimilation with the Iconian Alliance and the survivors of the galactic powers. In the year 2411, the Control Borg Queen Tasha Yar and her forces breached the alternate Dyson sphere, the last bastion of the Iconians. When ships from the Khitomer Alliance and Aetherian Concordium arrived there through the modified Jouret System Iconian gateway from the primary universe, Control probes engaged them in battle. The Allies destroyed the Control probes and other Control Borg ships. These Control probes were smaller and less powerful than the Control spheres, Assimilator-class Control assimilators and the Control Borg Queen Octahedron. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Situation Under Control")

Control probes were part of the interdimensional unicomplex established by the Control Borg, primary universe Borg Collective and mirror universe Borg Kingdom in fluidic space after arriving through reality vortices. Trios of Borg probes captured several Undine Dromias-class bioships near the space station. These probes assisted BTC Delta, which guarded Beam Emitter Delta at Unicomplex Delta. A joint Undine-Khitomer Alliance task force destroyed Cube Alpha at Unicomplex Alpha and moved in a trio of Undine planet killers before attacking the Borg ships at Unicomplex Delta. Ultimately, the task force eliminated the Borg presence from the unicomplexes. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Royal Flush")

The Control Borg battled the Iconian Alliance ship Vovin in the Sitor star system during T'Ket's foray into the primary universe. The Borg were kept away from the Vovin by the arrival of Iconian allies. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Out of Control")

Borg ships from various universes attacked the Aetherian dreadnought Harmony in the Kinjer system. Leader Thaseen-Fei fought back with the assistance of Khitomer Alliance reinforcements. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Unwanted Guests")

Following the revelation of the Aetherians' true nature to the Khitomer Alliance, Thaseen-Fei and the Harmony escaped from the Ram Izad system through reality vortices that let Control Borg ships into the system that engaged the Khitomer Alliance and Borg Cooperative forces in battle. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Axiom")

Alternate timeline[]

In the primary universe, the Excalbian simulacrum of Borg Collective broke free of the constraints of their simulation. The merger of Control's nanites with Fenris Ranger Seven of Nine's Borg nanoprobes lead to the creation of an alternate Seven. (STO - Legacy mission: "The Measure of Morality (Part 1)")

Following her defeat of the simulated Borg Queen and assimilation of simulacrum T'Ket and the Iconian World Heart, Borg Queen Seven of Nine used the combined Borg/Iconian and Excalbian powers to manifest a fleet in Excalbia's orbit. This included two Borg probe ships and four Borg spheres. Queen Seven and her fleet were destroyed by a Khitomer Alliance fleet of legendary starships manifested by the Excalbians. (STO - Legacy mission: "The Measure of Morality (Part 2)")
