Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Maria recruits Oscar the Grouch to help teach the concept of here and there. Oscar obliges, militantly barking orders to the viewer. Maria says there's a nicer way to do it, and shows here standing next to his trash can, and there, behind the construction doors of Big Bird's nest. Just as Oscar's complaining about how dull it all is, a second Maria appears next to him, placing her both here and there.

Upon reading the letter, Harris is insulted and chases Roosevelt.

SCENE 2 Big Bird asks David if he wants to make some bubbles with him, but David is busy pumping air into a basketball behind the construction doors. Mr. Snuffleupagus stops by and, in a hurry, drinks Big Bird's soapy bubble water. After a sneeze, Snuffy produces hundreds of bubbles from his snuffle, astonishing David nearby. As soon as Snuffy leaves, David rushes over demanding to know how Big Bird made all those bubbles. When David denies there being a Snuffleupagus, Big Bird laments that nobody ever believes him.

Cartoon The weary traveler asks the Wise Man to demonstrate "here" and "there." He does so by throwing his household items off the cliff.

SCENE 3 Maria begins to sweep up some paper trash found on one of Mr. Hooper's tables when Sam the Robot happens by. He chides Maria's "primitive" broom and dustpan and offers to clean up the mess scientifically. A compartment on his side opens up to reveal a vacuum cleaner hose which he uses to suck up all the paper. Maria points out that he also disposed of the tablecloth that was on the table. Sam assumed it was part of the trash, and attempts to return it, regurgitating the paper trash instead. Maria points out the error, Sam produces the tablecloth, and leaves Maria with more of a mess than she started with (as well as crashing through the garage doors).

Finally he identifies Luis working with a bicycle's bell in front of the Fix-It Shop.

Muppets Simon Soundman has the viewers guess what sound he is making. He makes the sound of a train, car, and a horse. When Simon makes the sound of the horse, a cowboy uses his lasso to capture Simon, mistaking him for a real horse.
