Starbase 218 was a Federation starbase in operation in the 24th century.

In 2366, Lieutenant Commander Nella Daren transferred from the USS Bellerophon to Starbase 218 to head up a project to update the star charts for Sector 1509 so that Starfleet could launch an expedition into the area. (ST video game: Starship Creator)

Starbase 218, along with Memory Alpha, was a destination of the USS Prague during a cadet training cruise in 2346. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

In 2368, the USS Enterprise-D was enroute to Starbase 218, when they were stopped by a Kataan probe. (TNG episode: "The Inner Light")

The following year, the Enterprise-D stopped off at Starbase 218 to take aboard new personnel, including Lt. Commander Daren, who was to head up the ship's stellar cartography department. (TNG episode: "Lessons")
