This article is about the enemy from Kirby's Adventure. For other articles with similar names, see Bubble (disambiguation).

Bubbles[1] is a round, ball-shaped enemy in Kirby's Adventure and its remake Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. It bounces around in an attempt to hit Kirby. Kirby receives the Ball Copy Ability when swallowing Bubbles.

In Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Bubbles also appear in the Bomb Rally Sub-Game. A Bubbles fills in for a Kirby opponent if it is hit by a bomb, which blasts it off-screen. Right after replacing the Kirby, the Bubbles serves the bomb to a nearby Kirby. The bombs bounce off Bubbles at the same speed they were received at, and they cannot miss hitting it.

Appearance[edit]

Bubbles is a simple blue sphere with large eyes, rosy cheeks, and a perpetual smile. Their Kirby's Adventure sprite shows them as either pink or green, whereas their alternate Nightmare in Dream Land palette is purple.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby's Adventure[edit]

A multitude of Bubbles in Kirby's Adventure.

Bubbles first appeared in Kirby's Adventure as the main provider of the Ball ability. It is not a very common enemy, and is only found in a few stages.

Bubbles can be found in the following levels and stages:

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]

In Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Bubbles reprises its role from Kirby's Adventure, as well as now appearing in the Bomb Rally Sub-Game to take the spot of a Kirby that has been blasted by a bomb before.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]

After many years of absence, Bubbles reappears in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe once again in the Bomb Rally Sub-Game. Just as before, it fills the place of a previous character that has been eliminated from the game, passing the bomb to nearby opponents in their place. This appearance also marks Bubbles' first appearance in 3D.
